How many companies are set up in Romania, how many are trading and how many leave the market, by county and sector, updated every month.
Over the last 12 months, 15,613 new companies were registered in Romania. The first full edition of the barometer, with the county and sector breakdown, will be published on 1 November 2026.

New strike-offs and insolvencies
The register does not record the date a company was struck off or became insolvent, so the monthly figure is the difference between two consecutive editions. The first difference is available from the November 2026 edition.
What it measures and what it does not
New companies are counted by their registration date in the register, so they are a true monthly flow.
Active, struck-off and insolvent companies are stocks: how many were in that state on the day the edition was computed.
A company whose state is unknown in the register is counted only in the total, not in the state columns.
Companies with no county or no CAEN code are grouped separately as "unknown".
Very new companies the register has not filled in yet (no name or state) count towards registrations but not towards the stocks.
